The Country Garden Showcase- Week 9

Everything that slows us down and forces patience, everything that sets us back into the slow circles of nature, is a help. Gardening is an instrument of grace.

Well, that's what I've been up to lately.

It's time to link up and share what you've been doing in your garden, on your farm, and in your  greenhouse...

  1. You are productive! I cleaned some leaves out of my little pond today, and I'm making a huge batch of oven stew for my mother's freezer, whose 77th birthday was yesterday and she doesn't really cook any more -- and mostly spending way too much time drinking chai and sitting in front of this computer on such a beautiful day (almost 70 degrees here!)

  2. Woo who! You are making wonderful progress Heidi! We've had winter like weather this week so nothing much has actually been done outside. I did purchase some seeds for the cut flower gardens though! I'll be starting them indoors soon!

  3. Hi Diana,
Happy belated birthday to your Mom.
My outdoor activity is stalled. It's been snowing all day here... My plants and I are all confused. Enjoy your great weather.

  4. Hello Deborah Jean,
I love the sound of your name. It's so pretty. It's funny how weather can change. It's snowing here too today. I am really looking forward to your flower garden and your weekly flora chats. Have a great week Deb. I can't wait to read about dahlias. They are the queen of the garden.

  5. Your garden is coming along beautifully! Sounds like you have a great plan and you are working it at a great pace. Keep up the wonderful work..and thank you for hosting!

  6. Thank you for the encouragement Mrs Scaife, and thank you for participating in this lil hop.
