The Country Homemaker Hop Week #1

“The homemaker has the ultimate career. All other careers exist for one purpose only - and that is to support the ultimate career. ”
C.S. Lewis

Are YOU a Country Homemaker?
Do you make nutritious meals from scratch, labor in a vegetable garden, or raise livestock?  Do you do these things because of the love you share with your family and a desire to provide the best for your loved ones?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, than like me, you must be a country homemaker and WE WANT YOU!

Please join us each week to share your pictures, recipes, household wisdom, homemaking tips, crafts, ideas and stories with the country homemaking community.

The posts will open to begin linking up on Wednesdays at 12:01 am and will remain open to links all week long, through Tuesday night at 11:59 pm.

It's a new year full of exciting new opportunities.  Life is what we make it.  Let's dig in and discover just what's been going on- on the Country Homestead this week?

Have a Happy New Year!  May 2012 be your best year so far.

Baking Day

Today I have orders for 4 batches of these awesome southern biscuits for my kids.  I went through four batches in about 3 days the last time I made em.  Yummy!

I plan to make myself some cream puffs with vanilla custard filling.

I am going to try the new recipe I found HERE on the American Egg Board's website.

I may try this french toast recipe tonight too!  It looks fantastic!

Then, I will make a few more Stained Glass Sugar and Spritz cookies.

So much sugar, so little time...
